A club-controlled approach
Every club is different, so Kohd does not dictate which people should be celebrated, which stories should be told or what a club should charge for its Heritage Tiles. Those decisions remain with the club. The club decides which stories are appropriate, provides access to the people and information it already holds, reviews the finished material and gives final approval before anything is published. The club also controls how Heritage is promoted within its own community and sets the selling price of its Heritage Tiles, subject to the agreed minimum Kohd charge. Kohd provides the framework around those decisions and handles the work required to turn them into a consistent Heritage experience.
Building the story carefully
Once a story has been identified, Kohd coordinates the process of developing it. That can include contacting the relevant people, gathering memories and photographs, researching historical information, checking dates and facts against available sources, preparing the written story and organising the content needed for the physical Heritage Tile and its digital story. Technology and AI can help our researchers find, organise and prepare information, but they do not replace club knowledge or human judgement.
Where something cannot be established confidently, we would rather identify the gap and ask the club than turn an assumption into part of its history. Before publication, the club has the opportunity to review the story and confirm that it is accurate and appropriate. The result is a growing Heritage collection that combines professional research and preparation with the knowledge, judgement and ownership of the club itself.
