Caitlin Clark's arrival at the Indiana Fever marked the beginning of a remarkable professional chapter when the franchise selected her first overall in the 2024 WNBA Draft. The guard arrived in Indianapolis with considerable attention, and her debut season delivered results that matched the anticipation.

Clark started all forty regular-season games in her first year, orchestrating the Fever's offense with 337 assists across the campaign. The playmaking total reflected her constant presence at the heart of Indiana's attack, distributing the ball and creating opportunities for teammates throughout the season. Her court vision and decision-making helped guide Indiana to the playoffs for the first time since 2016, ending a seven-year absence from postseason competition. The statistical output and team success formed the foundation of a season that earned widespread recognition and established Clark as a central figure in the Fever's resurgence.

The league's awards reflected Clark's immediate impact. She claimed the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year honour with 66 of 67 votes, becoming the third Fever player to earn the distinction. Her selection to the All-WNBA First Team carried additional significance: she was not only the sole rookie chosen that year but also the first rookie since 2009 and just the fifth overall to achieve First Team recognition in a debut season. The double achievement of Rookie of the Year and All-WNBA First Team in the same season placed her among a select group in league history.

Clark's first season also included selection to the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game, where she led fan voting as one of two rookies nominated. The recognition from supporters across the league demonstrated the immediate connection she had forged with basketball audiences.

The following year brought continued honours. Clark returned to the All-Star Game in 2025 for her second consecutive selection and received appointment as an All-Star Captain. The 2025 event took place at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, bringing the showcase to Indiana and allowing Clark to represent her club on home ground. The captain's role and the Indianapolis setting combined to mark another chapter in her developing career with the Fever, where she continues to play as guard number 22.
